Rebecca Posner is an award winning applied behavioural scientist and inclusive mixed methods researcher who specialises in human centred transport systems. With experience spanning government, industry, academia and charity she has led flagship programmes of national research and behavioural change to address critical challenges in mobility and building a more inclusive society.

Over the last decade she has shaped the development of transport products, services and policies through her work at TRL, as the Head of Social and Behavioural Research within the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in the UK Department for Transport and as the Director of Research at the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers, where she led their research as part of the national centre for accessible transport.

Using thoughtful, innovative and collaborative approaches she works to understand the needs and concerns of diverse people and embeds principles of human centred design to help shape transport systems that are inclusive, safe and sustainable by design.

Through the development of impactful interventions that drive individual and system wide change her work consistently influences policy, practice and innovation in the UK and internationally.
